MCP (Model Context Protocol)

Pingram hosts a remote Model Context Protocol server so AI agents can use your Pingram account as a set of tools for sending email and SMS, looking up delivery status, managing phone numbers and email inboxes, configuring sender domains, creating and updating webhook endpoints, creating extra accounts, and managing US A2P 10DLC brand registrations, after you log in once.

The server lives at:

Sign in with the same Pingram account you use in the dashboard (email, Google, or Microsoft). The agent acts as you and never sees your password.

Pingram is listed on the official MCP registry as io.pingram/mcp and on the GitHub MCP Registry. VS Code and GitHub Copilot install it from that gallery.

Tool results include structured JSON that matches the documented API response for each operation, so clients can validate and use the data without parsing free-form text.

Connect from VS Code and GitHub Copilot

  1. In VS Code, open the Extensions view and search @mcp pingram. You can also open the Pingram listing and install from there.
  2. Select Install and confirm that you trust the server.
  3. Sign in to Pingram when prompted.
  4. Open Copilot Chat, switch to Agent, and ask Copilot to send a test email or SMS and then check its delivery status.

The gallery install uses https://mcp.pingram.io (US). If your account is in Canada or the EU, edit the server URL to that region’s host above and sign in there.

On Copilot Business or Copilot Enterprise, an admin has to enable the MCP servers in Copilot policy before the install works. Copilot Free, Pro, Pro+, and Max are not gated by that policy.

The same listing is available in other Copilot editors that browse the MCP registry, including Visual Studio and JetBrains.

To add the server without the gallery, put this in .vscode/mcp.json or your user MCP config. Use your region’s URL when it is not the US host.

Connect from Claude.ai

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Enter the server URL: https://mcp.pingram.io (or your region’s URL above).
  3. Sign in to Pingram when prompted and approve access.
  4. Claude can now use Pingram on your behalf.

Connect from ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, add a custom MCP connector.
  2. Use the URL https://mcp.pingram.io (or your region’s URL above).
  3. Sign in to Pingram when prompted.

ChatGPT Enterprise workspaces can restrict who links Pingram by verified email domain (the connector publishes OpenID Connect UserInfo).

Connect from Cursor

The fastest path is the Pingram plugin for Cursor. Install it from the Cursor Directory or the Cursor Marketplace, then sign in to Pingram when prompted. The plugin connects the hosted MCP server and Pingram skills for email, SMS, voice, inbound messages, webhooks, broadcasts, and users. The same plugin works in Grok Bot: open Plugins, find Pingram, and authorize.

The plugin uses https://mcp.pingram.io by default. If your account is in Canada or the EU, point it at that region’s URL (https://mcp.ca.pingram.io or https://mcp.eu.pingram.io) and sign in there so the agent sees that account.

Multiple accounts

If you belong to more than one Pingram account, List Accounts returns each account and its accountId. Other tools accept an optional accountId so the agent can send messages, list numbers, or manage 10DLC on a specific account.

When accountId is omitted, tools use your first account — the earliest one you joined. Ask the agent to operate on a named account — for example, “list phone numbers on Client account” — and it will pass that account’s accountId.

Security notes

  • The agent acts as you, with access limited to Pingram accounts you are a member of. Passing accountId for an account you cannot access is rejected.
  • To disconnect, sign out of the MCP client or remove the connector in your AI app’s settings.
